Leave Banks in the Old World: How Infini Builds a Stablecoin Financial OS on Safeheron

“Security, flexibility, and compliance — all solved on one platform. Since integrating Safeheron, our business volume has tripled.”
Opening a bank account still takes weeks. A cross-border payment still takes days, a stack of paperwork, and a fee at every hop. Infini was built to fix that: a global financial OS running on stablecoin rails, designed so that any business or individual can spend, get paid, and manage money across borders easily
Infini had a problem of its own to solve, too — security and compliance. For a financial infrastructure company supporting transaction and fund-management workflows, with volume climbing month over month, the team saw clearly that security and compliance had to be built into the foundation rather than bolted on later. That is what brought them to Safeheron.
We sat down with Infini CEO Christian Li to talk about how he thinks about security in a financial OS — and how getting it right helped triple the business.
Q: Can you give us a brief overview of Infini?
Infini is a global financial OS built on stablecoin rails. Whether you are a business operating globally or an individual consumer, Infini supports card spending using eligible stablecoin and crypto balances.
For business users, we also issue corporate cards, so companies can put stablecoin balances toward day-to-day operating expenses.
We also help you collect and make payments — in stablecoin or fiat, across supported markets
We handle the on-ramp and off-ramp, manage your assets and your company treasury, and we have a financial agent that handles all of the finance work for you. Our goal is to be the financial infrastructure for the next generation.
Q: What is the foundational vision behind the slogan “leave banks in the old world”?
As you know, banking infrastructure is old, and very traditional — very much of the last century. We have seen a lot of great companies building fintech around that. But for the next ten years and beyond, especially with all the AI agents and a new generation of companies coming through, I think people deserve better financial infrastructure for fintech.
That is where our slogan came from, because anyone who deals with banks knows the pain points. It can take weeks just to open an account. We believe moving money should be as simple as sending an email: instant, cheap and borderless. Financial freedom shouldn’t be reserved only for institutions; it belongs to every company and every individual. That is the vision behind our slogan.
Q: What types of clients does Infini serve globally?
We started with small businesses, and with the developers who are doing business and scaling globally — teams building SaaS, gaming, e-commerce. They are global by nature from day one. We also realized that these founders and developers are stablecoin users themselves, so we extended our service to individuals, offering the same product features: saving, earning, spending.
Q: What core pain points do Infini’s global clients face, and what solutions does Infini provide?
The first pain point is that when you are trying to start a business today, especially trying to go global, banking is definitely the biggest one. So from the start, we wanted to solve that problem: our goal is to make eligible account onboarding and receiving funds more accessible and efficient for supported businesses.
The other pain point — the part people struggle with all the time — is that the bank asks you for all the regulatory paperwork, and sometimes you wait a long time for your money to move. And there are always more problems when you are expanding into another market. With all the stablecoin and crypto infrastructure, Infini is here to solve exactly these.
Q: During daily operations, what challenges has Infini encountered, and how do they impact your business?
For building a fintech company, the top priority for us is security and compliance. It took some lessons for me to learn that. As the money we handle each month keeps growing, managing funds becomes very important — and it shouldn’t be based on trusting one person. In this business, a single security failure can wipe you out. We need to feel responsible for all the trust our clients place in us, so we have to get it right from day one.
The other thing is that maintaining a full compliance structure and dealing with all the banking partnerships is just as important. That is a challenge for everyone, especially for a young team like ours — but I think that is the core of fintech, and we are getting better at building more connections and partnerships. Both of these are real challenges for us, and we are going to improve every day.
Q: What improvements has Infini achieved after partnering with Safeheron?
The principle is pretty simple: no fintech company’s fate should rely on the manual work of a single person.
First, the private key, for example, should never exist in one complete piece anywhere. That is why we wanted to adopt and work with companies and custody wallet providers — the service Safeheron provides in particular. Safeheron enables us to maintain full control of our funds in a decentralized manner, instead of relying on a single key.
Second, moving money requires process, and nobody can move funds alone. There has to be a structure of authorization for taking certain actions. For example, when we operate day to day with Safeheron, all transactions are handled by the different rules we set, with the right rules in place to take the right actions. And we automate anything that can be automated: routine transfers shouldn’t need someone clicking one by one, and things like handling scattered small balances or managing transaction fees and gas fees properly can all run automatically. That also helps us focus better on the business itself.
The last part is that our compliance lead sets out the rules — for example, all payments need to be screened for money laundering before they go out. Every time we initiate a transaction or approve one on Safeheron, the anti-money-laundering and KYT checks show the results directly. So when security and compliance are built into the foundation, the business can run at full speed with confidence.
Q: Why partner with Safeheron to drive long-term security and operational synergy?
First, their core technology is open source and audited by some of the top international security firms. It is like publishing the blueprints of a real safe for the whole world to inspect. That certainly helps — that kind of confidence is rare.
Second, the policy engine is incredibly flexible. We can set our approval rules exactly the way we want: who signs off above a certain amount, when a transfer can happen, who it can go to — entirely on our terms. And they have built anti-money-laundering checks right into the transfer flow, so every payment is screened before it goes out, with no patching up after the fact.
So I would say security, flexibility and compliance, all solved on one platform. That is the long-term partner we were looking for.
Q: Since integrating Safeheron, have you seen measurable growth, such as for key security or asset efficiency?
The change is very obvious; it comes down to three things. First, our money moves faster. We used to chase people in group chats and wait around; right now approvals can be done on a device in minutes, and our funds move between accounts far more efficiently. Second, costs came down, and we are saving a lot on transfer fees. Third, and most importantly, we feel safe in our own minds, which is the most important thing for a founder and managing partner. The team no longer loses sleep over fund security and can focus more on the business.
The results speak for themselves: since integrating Safeheron, our business volume has tripled. When the foundation is solid, you can build much faster.
Q: Can you use three words to describe the partnership with Safeheron?
Reassuring, professional, reliable. Take the communication we have with the Safeheron team every day — they are always there to help us on every case and every request we bring, and they respond pretty fast. When we say we probably need a certain feature, they always deliver at lightning speed. Sometimes we feel very lucky that we chose Safeheron as our partner.
Q: What is next on Infini’s immediate roadmap?
Going forward, we are focusing on one thing: continuing to improve and perfect the loop of collecting, storing, spending and managing money. We will keep building out the financial infrastructure — global accounts, payments, corporate cards and stablecoin treasury management — make the financial agent smarter, issue cards in more countries and more scenarios, and make the whole experience as natural as using any everyday app. At the same time, we will expand into more regions and markets, and bring this new financial experience to more people.
Q: As an AI-powered financial OS, what role does AI play in Infini’s product ecosystem?
If you think of Infini as a person, stablecoins are the blood and AI is the brain. And the AI is doing real work: all the expenses, the bookkeeping, the financial analysis. In the future, our agent can actually execute and help you manage or move your money. Things that used to keep a finance team busy for days can now be done in seconds. Our hope is that in the future, every user — whether a founder, a CEO or an individual consumer — can have a financial assistant by their side.
Q: How do you see AI fundamentally redefining the future of fintech and global finance?
The biggest shift is, of course, the one people are talking about: the A2A (agent-to-agent) economy and the machine economy. I think this is going to happen one day.
Finance will change too. In the past, you were chasing after your service, asking your bank manager for help all the time. In the future, the service will actually come to you. You won’t need to read financial statements or study all the complex, difficult things — your financial agent will manage your money and help you out: finding the best rate, reminding you what needs to be paid, watching out for all the risks. Combining that with stablecoins is even more interesting, because it lets money itself move freely and the barriers of finance simply disappear. No matter where you are or how big you are, you are born global.
